A nature lover's paradise, Amelia Island is the perfect outdoor playground. The variety of flora and fauna provide rare opportunities for spotting whales, sea turtles and other wild animals.
Amelia Island is located at Florida's northeastern shore.

Live Oak. They’re everywhere on Amelia. But none as grand as the one growing in the middle of Ash Street. The one that peacefully had stood watch over Kate Bailey’s stately Queen Anne home for years.

She adored that oak. And the day city workers came to axe it down, they discovered just how much. Word has it, the tree was a minor obstacle compared to the lady on her veranda with a shotgun.

Thanks to her arboreal enthusiasm, "Kate’s tree" stands today.
