"The Fabric of Our Lives: Quilts of Nassau County"
"The Fabric of Our Lives: Quilts of Nassau County," an exhibition of historical quilts presented by the Amelia Island Museum of History and the Amelia Island Quilt Guild, will run from December 14th - February 28, 2008. This exhibit offers 15 historical quilts for the public?s viewing pleasure. The exhibit encourages viewers to explore the lives of the women who created these useful works of art, in some cases, over a century ago. Ederhostel presents Days of Discovery: Hear the Untold Stories of the Civil War
Join the Amelia Island Museum of History for a day of discovery. It is Florida?s first spoken history museum and houses a variety of exhibits chronicling America?s most captured territory, as well as artifacts from the nation?s greatest struggle?the Civil War. Program highlights include a presentation by retired Lt. Col. Dr. William Birdsong, who reveals the hardships and inspirations on the front line and in the operating room; a presentation by researcher James Longacre, who will share his research on the role African Americans played in the fight for their own freedom; and a guided tour of Fernandina Beach?s historic district, where you can discover the community?s beautiful architecture and the unique character of Amelia Island. Fort Clinch Union Garrison

6th Annual Amelia Island Museum of History Golf Tournament
The Amelia Island Museum of History, a non-profit 501C3 organization, will host its 6th Annual Golf Tournament at the Golf Club of Amelia Friday, February 8, 2008. This annual fundraiser helps support a museum which continues to grow and offer more and more programs for adults and children in Nassau County, the region, and the state of Florida. 31st Annual Restoration Foundation Antiques Show & Sale
The 31st Annual Antiques Show and Sale will be held on Feb 15-16 at the Recreation Center, 2500 Atlantic Ave. Hours for the show are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
